Juan Carlos Soto Piantini is the founding partner and president of SORO Partners. With a comprehensive background in law and legal strategy, Juan Carlos has built a distinguished career in the legal industry, focusing on corporate and business transactions, as well as mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations (M&A).
Before founding SORO Partners in 2022, Juan Carlos served as Senior Consultant and Manager of the Corporate Department at Oficina Melo Guerrero (OMG), where he led major restructuring and business expansion projects. His professional trajectory also includes prominent positions at Álvarez & Vicens, Cabral & Díaz, and Biaggi & Messina.
Credentials
Juan Carlos holds a Master's in Legal Strategy from the Instituto OMG (iOMG) and an Accreditation in Strategic Negotiation from Cambridge International Consulting (CIC) using the Harvard methodology. He also holds a specialization in Tax Planning and Management from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and a Law Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
In addition to his professional practice, Juan Carlos is an external advisor and an active member of the Fundación Poesía de Dar, and he is also part of the Dominican Association of Fintech Companies (ADOFINTECH).
